Darcy Jane’s Bithday & Pupcake Recipe

We celebrated Darcy Jane’s birthday this week and I decided to make her some pup cakes. Darcy is such a special girl to us and we usually give Toby an extra special treat for his birthday so I wanted to do it for her. I do understand they don’t know it’s their birthdays but I’m so appreciative for the comfort they give me, I like to give back.

Darcy has a sensitive stomach so we have to be careful of the types of things she eats. I decided to bake these pupcakes with some of her favorite things. The pup cakes are filled with dog friendly yummy goodness. They smelled and looked so amazing my husband even had to try one!

Filled with banana, peanut butter and carrots, both dogs enjoyed these wonderful treats. Toby is even a picky eater and he loved them

I did use oat flour to make the pupcakes.  To make oat flour, put oats in a food processor and process until it becomes a flour like consistence.  Measure after processing.  I started with 1 cup of oats and had a small amount of flour left over.  These pupcakes don’t take too long to make, and I used all ingredients we usually have on hand.  It was well worth it for my husband and me to watch Darcy and Toby devour them.  I did top them with a Nutro crunchy treat with real carrots that are also grain free and that my dogs love.  I also did buy a plastic table cloth from the Dollar tree for them to eat on!  It made clean up really easy.
